The ELI Scheme is designed to:
- Encourage companies to hire freshers.

Part A: For First-Time Job Seekers
If you’re starting your first job and your employer registers you with EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation), you can get up to ₹15,000 directly from the government — no strings attached!
How it works:
- You must be earning up to ₹1 lakh/month.
- You’ll get the benefit in two parts:
- ₹7,500 after completing 6 months in the job
- Another ₹7,500 after 12 months.
- ₹7,500 after completing 6 months in the job
- A portion of the money will be kept in a savings account for your future
Part B: For Employers Who Hire More People
Companies that hire new employees will also get monthly financial support.
What’s in it for employers?
- They’ll get ₹1,000 to ₹3,000/month per new hire (based on salary structure)
- This support is for 2 years (for service sector) — and up to 4 years for manufacturing companies
- To qualify:
- Small companies (with <50 staff) must hire at least 2 new employees
- Larger companies (with ≥50 staff) must hire at least 5
How Will the Money Be Given?
For employees: The money will be sent directly to the bank account via Aadhar-based DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer)
For employers: Incentives will be credited to their PAN-linked accounts.
